The 2019 vintage in Western Australia had a robust start. There was slightly above average winter rainfall only at the Margaret River region due to a single rain event on 23rd of January. Below average temperatures around the wine regions resulted in a later start, however the fruit and resultant wines have fresh flavors and bright acidity which has resulted in a finer more elegant wine style.
Gentle processing and cool fermentation in stainless steel tank ensured the primary fruit flavours of pear and spice were retained. Following fermentation the wine was fined and stablised in preparation for bottling.
This intensely aromatic wine displays pear and apple fruits with floral notes and a hint of spice. The palate is lively and fresh showcasing pear, melon and almond with citrus zest and pepper spice highlights. The juicy palate has a rounded texture, nicely balanced with fine acidity and admirable flavour length.
Best enjoyed youthful and fresh as an aperitif or with Mediterranean inspired seafood dishes.
